To coincide with 2016 Year of the English Garden and Capability Brown’s 300 Anniversary, The Feathers Hotel in Woodstock offers a two night Botanical Break with a twist…and a slice of lemon.
By day, it offers the chance to enjoy two glorious gardens in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds; by night, it is an exploration of the wonderful botanicals to be found amongst the gins in The Feathers’ collection of over 350 varieties.
The Feathers’ package includes admission to both Blenheim Palace, featuring one of Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown’s parkland masterpieces, and nearby, romantic Rousham House where the garden was the work of William Kent - the landscape artist who paved the way for 'Capability' Brown.
The botanic theme continues with The Feathers’ own gin collection, where the barman will help suggest a bespoke G&T for you.
The package includes two nights’ accommodation at The Feathers, admission to Blenheim Palace and Rousham House gardens, two special G&Ts, a 5-course tasting menu dinner for two, a bar dinner on the second night and full English breakfast both days.
