Re: Midweek Foodies

We visited The Feathers as a surprise birthday treat organised by my husband. It was a return trip for us having not been for a few years. From the minute we arrived it felt as though we were welcomed as old friends, the staff were lovely, remebering our names and helping with parking as Woodstock is notoriously difficult to park. We were thrilled to have been upgraded, getting a lovely big room although it did look a little tired in areas. We were there for 2 nights so chose to eat in the restaurant for our first night. We had a great meal, the service was informed and attentive, and I even got a special birthday pud!

We ate in the bar on the second night, which had a great, buzzy atmosphere although did get quite hot with the fire burning. It was a really relaxing place to sit and enjoy a few after dinner drinks! The staff were really friendly and helpful and although we thought the room was a bit tired they assured us that if we came back next year they would be refurbished. We will definitely be back for a nosey.
